Discover the Sport of Robotics
The worldwide sport for the mind
FIRST® is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 (PreK-12) that can be facilitated in school or in community settings. In essence, students use LEGO and metal to build cool robots, code them, and compete against other teams. In doing so they become a highly tuned F1 team. Everyone has to step up and learn new skills to make it a success, and they have a blast along the way.Seasons generally run August-February.More about the programs we support:

Litchfield Park, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, Surprise, El Mirage, Waddell, Tolleson, Youngtown, Glendale, Peoria, and Phoenix.
For other areas in AZ contact ASU Engineering Outreach.Started by two homeschooling parents who wanted a competitive STEM outlet for their kids. Now we are parents of homeschool graduates and college engineering students.
Get involved
Who’s this for?
For kids who love making LEGO creations or who like to understand how things work. Kids who want a competitive outlet as an alternative to sports - where their only limit is their effort and creativity, not physical ability. For parents who want their kids have passion, learn teamwork, explore future skills, and feel like they belong to something important. Parents who like to play on the ground with their kids and help them solve hard problems. For teachers or administrators who want an exciting sport where everyone can go pro (and can map it to educational standards too).
